smiles

This is the first time I've tried to post movie clips - hope it works. I wanted to edit these clips a little bit, but I haven't figured that out yet. Just ignore our silly talking in the background if you can...the things we'll do to get our kids to smile...(Being a photographer I get to see others do it all the time, but now I'm one of them!) Btw - in case you're wondering what's going on in the clip of Caleb, Mike is trying to get a couple pics of the boys on his cell phone. Oh yeah, I didn't figure out how to rotate the clip of Caleb yet either.

big

My boys are getting so big! They are 7 weeks old today - my how time flies when you're having fun. :) I can definitely tell now that they are putting on weight - their cheeks have a little more chub to them, their limbs used to be like sticks and now they have some pudge, and there are a few outfits they are growing out of. They are still in newborn size clothing, but not for long! I'm very curious as to how much they weigh, but our next doctor's appointment isn't for a few weeks.
I am also proud to report that they are pretty consistently sleeping through the night. Call us 'lucky' all you want, but that's not all of it, there's also been effort on our part to get to this point! Last night wasn't the greatest, but that's because it was their first night in the pack'n'play instead of their carseats - they weren't waking up hungry. They've been napping in the pack'n'play during the day, but we just hadn't switched over for the nights yet. We'll see how tonight goes...
Both boys really started smiling this week. I can get Caleb to smile more than Logan, but they have both done it. It's so sweet! We're also convinced that Logan waves at me when I say 'hi' - our boys are just amazing! :)

blow-out

Well, Caleb didn't read the memo that he's not supposed to have a blow-out anywhere but home... Don't really want them at home either, but if it's going to happen (which it is), home is better.

We went to our class at church this morning. Didn't work out real well with feeding times, so we sat in the back and fed them bottles during class. Caleb got a little loud, so I left the room with him. A little later the pastor's wife was holding him and he loudly and stinkily filled his pants. Didn't know yet at that point how bad it was... When I went to change him I saw the extent of the damage. You know what all up his back, on his pants, on his sweater, on my sweater... Took a while to clean up, but we got 'er done. Good thing I had clean clothes for him! So yes, I have now been peed, pooped, and spit-up on; is throw-up all that's left?? By the way, one of the more major spit-ups was at a Christmas party at the very instant we were told that it was our turn to have our family picture taken, it was a decent amount all down my front - nice. That was thanks to Logan.

Meanwhile in class this morning, Mike was in there with Logan feeling like he was disturbing things thanks to all the little noises babies make. So, we've determined that at this point we are only going to church to see and be seen. It's nice to see people and of course show off our handsome boys, but that's about all it is, we're not able to participate or learn anything. Hopefully that'll improve when Caleb and Logan are a little older and we put them in nursery. :)

Here's a photo of them playing with on of their new Christmas presents.
