sparkles

***Oops, started this, got a couple paragraphs typed, then is sat for a few days... 😊

Just a little bit ago Jackson was sitting at the table for a while and he had said something about sitting funny on his foot.  He got up and was over by me at the counter, then got a funny look on his face.  I asked him if everything was okay, and he said something like, "My foot is doing something.  It's sparkly."  I told him it was from the way he had been sitting on his foot for a while.  And just now, a little while later he asked, "Where's the sparkles on my foot?  Where'd they go?"  💙

Jackson has gotten really good at recognizing his numbers and letters over about the last month.  He's not 100%, but he's constantly looking for letters and numbers and pointing out the ones he knows and asking the ones he doesn't.  So fun to watch him soak everything in.  He is SO inquisitive.  If I had a nickel for every question I answered...  (I love it, but it's also exhausting.)  He really thinks about things, too.  I love listening to music almost all the time, and he really listens to the lyrics and will often ask what certain things mean.  A while back we were listening to The Greatest Showman, and there's a line in one of the songs that says, "I close my eyes to see".  Jackson totally picked up on that, and was asking me how you could close your eyes to see! 😂

It is March already!  February was still a weird month weather-wise, with ZERO full weeks of school!  Snow Days, No Power Days, and an already scheduled day for Winter Break kept things interesting.  Now we're going to miss a good chunk of March for our trip to Kenya.  Let's hope they can have a full, normal schedule for April and May. 🏫

And now, after I typed the above, we had another snow day yesterday!  It's just not going to stop!!  The snow has been beautiful, but I am definitely ready for some warmth in Kenya.  (Coming soon!!!!)

We are all SO EXCITED for our upcoming trip!  I'm excited for myself to go on this adventure, I always love going on adventures with Mike, and I'm excited to see my kids experience something so huge!  We feel absolutely blessed that the Lord has made it possible for us to go; and even though I know there will be some challenging moments along the way, knowing that God wants us going on this trip brings an inexplicable peace.

Stay tuned for details of our adventures...  😎
