Friday morning we went to my brother and sister-in-law's for a photo session. Boy, was that a trip! Her family is in town for the weekend, and wanted to take the opportunity to get the kids together in a photo - that's a 3-yr-old and two 1-yr-olds. When you try to get three little kids to cooperate for pictures things are bound to get interesting! We did the session in the back yard, and I'm sure if any of the neighbors saw us they had a good laugh. Lea Anne's parents were watching my boys while I was photographing, and they were also trying to sing, dance, blow bubbles, etc. for their grandkids to get them to look towards the camera. Lea Anne and her sister were busy trying to keep their kids happy - getting toys, calming them down when they cried about something, etc. What fun! :)
Last night was the first overnight the boys spent in the nursery. Now that's it's not so cold upstairs we figured we'd go ahead and make the move. They've been napping some in there, but still spending the nights downstairs in the room next to us. They did great! I'm sure it helped that they're somewhat used to the crib from taking naps in there. We're still keeping them together in the same crib, I think they like being near each other. We might be in for it once we do separate them.
This morning was a major event - I went running with my brothers! They went together for the first time last weekend and invited anyone join. I was interested because I've been wanting to get running, but I don't do very well on my own. Mike is working today, so I was only able to do a little bit then I had to get back home to the boys - that's all I could handle anyways... This was my first time out, so I wasn't able to do much and it was challenging, but I gotta start somewhere! I really hope I can keep this up. Saturday mornings should be doable as long as Mike doesn't have to start work too early.
think of the one pair of octuplets and be thankful!
