This is our second day skipping morning nap. This is happening a little sooner than what I would have chosen, but the boys just were hardly sleeping in the morning anymore. It does seem to make 8am - 2pm a marathon stretch, but on the bright side, it's not so hard to squeeze stuff in between naps and feedings. Although, it's getting harder to go out and I've pretty much decided to stay in this winter...
Saturday evening Mike and I went out on a date. It was wonderful! We haven't done that in so long. We've been out without the kids plenty, but it's never for the two of us to go out by ourselves on a date. We went to the Piper in Holland for dinner. Yum! And then, the super romantic part, we went to Meijer for dog food! I guess time out without the kids still has to be somewhat practical. :) Had the weather been nicer we would have gone for a walk around downtown Holland or something, but it was cold and rainy so we made it home in time to put the kids to bed ourselves.
Caleb and Logan continue to walk more and more. They can pretty much walk as much as they want to now. Looks like I've got two little Frankenstein's toddling around. :) They are really into copying, it's so much fun. Now that we use a gate to keep them in the playroom, they can play with the door. Caleb especially loves to always shut the door, but then he gets frustrated that he can't get it open again... And, of course two toddlers and a door means all sorts of accidents can happen - last night Logan shut the door on Caleb's arm, he's got a pretty good bruise today. It's on my shopping list to find a door stop. :) Just watching them play now and seeing what they can do really makes me wonder what things will be like in a few years...yikes!!
Every day must be an adventure at your house! :)
