Wracking my brain and really cannot come up with a title. I'm sure that's a great disappointment for my many, many readers. :)
Well, as most of you know, we recently experienced the loss of our baby who we were eagerly looking forward to meeting face to face in November. Actually, as I heard someone say on the radio today, we didn't "lose" her, we know where she is - we'll just have to wait until we get to Heaven to see her. And, no, we don't know the gender of the baby, I'm just choosing a pronoun. I'm not going to share my thoughts and feelings here - partly because I'm very private about things like this, and partly because it would be a huge jumbled, rambling mess. We so, so appreciate everyone's thoughts and prayers during this time, it means alot.
When you have two toddlers, life must go on, and for that I am grateful. I mean, you can't help but smile when you've got two little boys being silly and cute. And, you just have to get up and deal with the everyday duties.
Last Thursday we took the boys to the GR Children's Museum. Cool place! Lots of fun stuff for the boys to look at and play with. I'm pretty sure we came home with a cold bug, but oh well. Mike and I both have colds, the boys both have runny noses. Caleb also has a rash all over his torso. First noticed it Monday evening, hasn't cleared up so now I've given him Benadryl, hope it helps!
Yesterday afternoon I had a photography lesson. I'm just too busy at home to do much photography work, but it's not too hard to fit in a lesson here and there and I really enjoy that. I think I am shooting at our church's youth banquet next weekend, that should be fun! I'm pretty sure I'm going to walk out of that feeling really, really old. You know, I'm really, truly in my thirties now. Ouch.
The weather is very slowly improving here and feeling more like spring. We really enjoy it when we can have some outside playtime. Logan finds a stick right away to walk around with the whole time. Caleb has gotten into picking dandelions, good thing we have a very large yard full of them.
Logan has really gotten into saying 'no' alot. Not really out of defiance yet, and he says it so terribly cute. I wonder how long that will last... I think he's also saying 'tree' and I know there's one other that I'm totally drawing a blank on... Oh, he kind of says 'ga ga' for 'all gone' or 'all done'. And today he definitely said, 'choo choo' - we can hear the train from our house and their ears always perk up when they hear it. I'm pretty sure Caleb repeated it after Logan said it, too.
I think Caleb recently had a growth spurt. Just seemed like he got a bunch taller all of the sudden. I did have to get him different sized shoes than Logan, but I'm going to keep them in the same sized clothes as long as I can! It's just too hard to keep track of different sizes when they're that close.
I'm sure there was some other cute thing they do that I was going to report on, but I can't remember, the boys have been awake for a bit now, and Mike is on his way home, so I guess I'd better go!
Did I ever tell you that dandelion juices stain white tee shirts? I'm not sure I did a good job of getting you ready to be Mom...
ReplyDeleteJust cuz I didn't learn lots of cleaning stuff doesn't mean you didn't do a good job of getting me ready to be a mom... :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, who cares about white shirts?
ReplyDeleteDid Caleb's rash go away?
