A couple things I forgot yesterday... Caleb fell asleep in his highchair after lunch - that has never happened!! Yes, I got a pic, but it's on my phone and I really need to take some time to get a bunch of pics and videos off my phone... Anyways, I was doing some clean-up in the kitchen and the boys were in their highchairs munching on some finger foods. Caleb was getting a little whiny and I just figured he was ready to get down and play. I look over at him and see his eyelids getting very heavy, I was so shocked I just watched and waited for him to totally fall asleep. Maybe it was a rough morning?? He does either have a cold or is teething, so maybe that was it.
We do have a little bit of a naptime and bedtime routine now. Actually, it's more of a 'anytime we go up to their room' routine, but that's mostly naptime and bedtime, once in a while we go play in their room for a bit for a change of pace. The boys climb up the stairs on their own. Many times we'll start them halfway up otherwise they get too distracted and may never make it. Then at the top of the stairs they stand up and walk down the hallway. Again, there are a few distractions along the way - trying to go in other rooms...the flichering night light... But once we get to their room Caleb shuts the door and goes and turns on the humidifier. Apparently the humidifier is his territory - when Logan tries to push the button Caleb has to go over and show him how it's done. :)
It is so much fun to play with the boys. If you lay on the floor they love to come tackle you - especially Logan will get a really cute look on his face and come fall on you. Or, if you're just in the room and not actually playing with them, they have to frequently come check-in. :) They love looking out the window in the playroom, it's so nice that the dog kennel is right there.
It's a little surprising, but right now Logan is more open to trying new foods than Caleb is.
I just know there was something else I thought of to write about, but I've got a few too many things going around in my head and can't remember...
